About Maggie's
Maggie’s has over 25 years of experience providing free
cancer support and information in centres across the UK and abroad. Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, the centres are warm and welcoming, and are run by expert staff who help people live well with cancer.
Maggie’s Wirral is a home from home – reflecting and responding to the needs of our local community. Unlike the cold, clinical hospital corridors, Maggie’s Wirral is domestic and non-clinical, providing a
peaceful haven, vibrant and full of life. There is no reception desk, signs on any of the doors, or any clocks, because you can stay at Maggie’s for as long as you need us. Many of the rooms in Maggie’s look out on to the country fields with breath taking views, where centre visitors relax and gather their thoughts and feelings. This environment offers significant features, where centre visitors can find peace amongst the nature and countryside whilst embracing the indoor warmth that is Maggie’s. Maggie’s Wirral provides a safe
space of calmness amongst the chaos that a cancer diagnosis can bring. The centre rises to the occasion with the natural lighting, comforting furnishing and artwork that is thought provoking and expresses hope. Anyone can drop in with no appointment or referral required. Much needed respite is just moments away from the hospital.
