Story

Huntington's Disease is a hereditary neurological genetic disorder. It is not well known, and if you've not had a friend or family member suffer from it then chances are you may not have even heard of it. It is a progressive disease, similar to those like Motor Neurone's and Parkinson's etc, and damages nerve cells in the brain. My mum and gran have both suffered from it, and passed away, and my uncle is currently living with it. There is currently no cure, nor any drugs to slow the progression. There are however numerous clinical trials taking place around the world, which will hopefully provide some help in the future.

Along with my bro & sis-in-law, we are running the Edinburgh Marathon. Our chosen charity is Scottish Huntington's Association (SHA). They do great work helping families and individuals with Huntington's Disease all across Scotland.

Any donations are very much appreciated!

Cheers, Kev x
