Story
Hi :-)
Back in oct of 2005 I weighed a massive 19st, this being my heaviest I have ever weighed. After the birth of my first son, I decided enough was enough and I set the wheels in motion to loose weight. I started with dieting and then starting training along side a friend, and commited myself to the gym, training 4 -5 days a week for up to two hours. Along with a good diet, and commitment to my health I now weigh under 15 and a half stone. This has taken me about 2-3 years to do, but my main, loss has been after joining the gym a year ago, thats when the weight really came of me. I now am more healthier and fitter then I have ever been, and this is my first of hopefully many runs, to raise money for Charity.
The reason I have chosen this Charity and this particular run, is because St Clares Hospice, do alot for people who suffer from Cancer and back in March of 2007, I lost my brother in law Claudio Agnes to Lung Cancer, leaving behind 3 children and my sister Debbie. Because of watching what Claudio went through, and the after effects to my sister and her family, I decided to give up smoking, and seeked help from my doctors surgery, I have now been a non smoker for 2years and 5 months. I hope my story helps others realise that you can give up smoking and also loose the weight.
I want to help raise money for this Hospice that do so much.
