On advice I stayed away from running for a bit but this week I worked my way up to my first 10k in a couple of months. I am now taking on the 2.6 challenge. Completing 26 runs of varying distances. I am completing this to help a Tenovus Cancer Care who like many charities is struggling as
many fundraising events have been cancelled. Tenovus Cancer Care continue to support our communities. Their Mobile support Units delivering chemotherapy, they have on line nurses supporting those worried about cancer in addition to having
a tele line volunteer lead service to offer support to those who feel isolated. Their scientists, researchers and students are playing a direct and active role in combatting COVID 19. In the lab working to find a vaccine. I use a local running track and typically run 10 laps before work. Extending it to 22 laps for the 10k distance on occasion.
