Story
Kevan has recently been asked, by friend Anna, to join her Pancrequatics English Channel swimming team. Needless to say - he agreed, and has since been spending many an hour in the water at Jesus Green, or on the Norfolk beach at Waxham.
The Pancrequatics English Channel swimming team are raising money for research into Pancreatic Cancer, which Anna's mum sadly died from several years ago.
Due to swim some time in September, but also aware their team (of 6) might be called forward if the weather was looking promising, Kevan was nontheless shocked to receive the call today that they'll be swimming Saturday, 6th August - leaving Dover harbour at 2am.
So - please, please please, show your support for Kevan by donating money now - and each time a jelly fish clings to one of his appendages, he'll think of the money his raising, and plough on - in the lovely cool 16 degrees centigrade water....
Update One: The Friday slot has now been cancelled and we are now looking at starting 2am Saturday morning. More updates to follow.
Update Two: Saturday is also looking borderline so we are no on standby from early next week.
