Story
Coronavirus has knocked back our progress against poverty by around 10 years, and lockdowns around the world have immiserated millions. Even though it is hard for us, it is drastically more onerous, even existential, for them. Oxfam provides invaluable support to the least fortunate in 63 countries and is a very worthy cause.
All pupils at KES are encouraged to wash their parents' or neighbours' cars on the weekend of the 27th June and be sponsored to do so; We recommend donations similar to the amount you would pay during a regular car wash. Instructions for how to wash a car can be found in plentiful supply on the internet. If the pupil would like to take part, please email kuravias@pupils.kes.org.uk
Even if the pupil can't perform the task, we ardently encourage a small donation anyway - after all, it is life-saving to someone out there. Every single pound goes straight to Oxfam
We are grateful for your support in this endeavour.
Yours sincerely,
Advait Kuravi, Aran Bansal, Varun Mohan, George Berry and Sam Howells
