Story
On Friday 15 May 2015, having been unwell since Christmas, my Dad (pictured) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia - Myeloid Sarcoma, an extremely rare type of Leukemia that affects approx. 2000 people every year.
I've got friends who have cancer or who have lost loved ones to this "bullshit" and I have fund-raised in the past but you never think something like this will happen to you or your family. Now that it has happened to us and having witnessed first hand the hard work the nurses and doctors do on a daily basis, I have decided to do what I can to raise much needed money to help keep this level of support and treatment available for all and especially to help the research into this type of cancer, which being so rare, has taken so long to be diagnosed.
I have cried many tears and now I am determined to stop (as best I can!) and focus on completing this course as fast as I can, whilst having as much fun as I can (if that's at all possible....have you seen the pictures!!)
Please donate as much or as little as possible to help such a worthy charity and lets kick cancer's ass!!
Thank you xxx
