For Darren "Dal"
As most of you will already know i lost my lovely big brother Darren in April of this year after a long and brave battle with Cancer, I have never known anyone as strong as Dal and am so proud to have had him in my life and i'm sure everyone will agree that Dal was one of a kind and such a special person that we will treasure him always.
Dal wanted to stay at home for as long as he could with his 2 boys Charlie and Ben which he did do, but as Dal's condition got worse he chose to spend his last days at St Clare Hospice, his wish was to be comfortable and out of pain and by being in St Clare Hospice he got his wishes, we could never repay the Doctors and especially the Nurses for what they did for Dal and us as a family, the love and compassion they showed was amazing and unless you see first hand for yourself the work they do you will never know just how special they really are.
Like i said we can never repay them for what they did for Dal, but by entering and running this race we can try and give a little something back, In Memory of Dal some of us will be running the 10k in London to try and raise as much as we can for St Clare Hospice, Harlow.
We would appreciate it so much if you could spare anything to try and get as much as we can for St Clare Hospice, as the more we raise the more people with life limiting and terminal illnesses can be cared for with such love and respect.
So please dig deep people and help us get to our target and if not more.
Thank you so much.
Kerry
