Story
Hey and thank you for visiting my page. In case you don't know me, my name is Kerry and I am from Northampton. I am typically known for being a party girl who enjoys a drink or two. Mostly weekends consist of pubs, bars or following my beloved Leeds United.
I took up running (of a sort) in lockdown like most did but as soon as the gyms re-opened I went back to spin classes and body pump. Since being awarded a place on the London Marathon 2023 I have had to re-focus and I am fully prepared for the challenging journey that is before me.
Losing a child is literally unthinkable and unfortunately happens to families up and down the country. The Bodie Hodges Foundation provide family and child centred services to support those affected by the death of a child. I pledge to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity and I am documenting my journey across social media. Please donate and support where you can.
The Bodie Hodges Foundation was formed in 2012 and its vision is to give hope to families bereaved of a child by providing a range of services that support grieving families and encourage them to rebuild and remember. Through Bodies Bereavement Service, they provide early emotional therapeutic support to families, working with those who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a child up to the age of 18. They work with the whole family, including siblings for up to eighteen months, providing support during the darkest time of a familys grief. At Bodies Boathouse, the Foundation provides a one-week stay to families from across the East Midlands within the first three years following their childs death. The Boathouse is a 3-bedroomed luxury lodge based at Tallington Lakes, Lincolnshire, designed to help families relax and spend time together. All services are provided free of charge.
