Ok guys...I hadn't done any serious running for years, but then Tearfund emailed suggesting the Ealing Half and, obviously in some sort of delirium, I thought it sounded like a fun challenge.  Today, faced by the consequences of my decision, it doesn't feel like such a great plan...so I'm going to need a bit of support - money, running partners, prayers, race tips are all welcome! 

Tearfund is a fab Christian charity, they work with underprivileged people across the globe, bringing healthcare, emergency food, farming and education to the people who need it most.  They work alongside local businesses and charities and aim to make people self sufficient rather than just dropping off emergency supplies with no long term plan.  There's a link below giving an example of their work.

Every £10 raised can be used to help train farmers to produce a harvest even when weather conditions are against them.  If you're able to make a donation that's amazing.  Thank you!  I'll endeavour not to collapse mid-race in your honour.

Little update, due to injury I've had to pull out of the Ealing half marathon. However the plan is to run a different race in the new year. Watch this space for more details!
