Story
It will soon be 2 years since my breast cancer diagnosis but I will never forget the support I received from BCC.
Being diagnosed with this awful illness at only age 30 is a very isolating and lonely experience. In those horrendous first few weeks after diagnosis, BCC paired me with another lady of a similar age who phoned me regularly and understood the treatment and emotions through first hand experience.
I so attended a BCC Younger Women's forum where I met 50+ other women my age, all of whom had breast cancer.
These experiences made me realise I was not alone.
