9:30pm 22/04/2012 - I am shattered!!
Well folks I've achieved what I set out to do all those cold, wet training nights ago and completed the London marathon. Believe it or not I actually enjoyed the WHOLE 26.2 miles (although the body is creaking a bit now). Knowing the money I have raised, with all of your generosity, will help children and young people with hemiplegia makes it all the more worth it.
Thank you (I would write more but I really am shattered and need to go bed!!)

After years of thinking I will do the London marathon next year - I have finally decided to run it this year. I probably should have tried a few 10km runs instead of throwing myself in at the deep end but there's nothing like a challenge when you turn 40!! I have left it a bit late to use it as a qualifying event for the London Olympics but you never know!!
I have decided to run for a charity called HemiHelp which provides fantastic support and advice to families that have children with Hemiplegia and this is a charity close to my family.
The amount of time I have to reach my fund raising target, aswell as do all my training, is quite short so I need as much motivation to get me out there on those cold English mornings and evenings. Economic times are tough so I appreciate any donation you can give and I will try and keep you updated with my progress with photos and videos (if they're not too embarrassing!)
JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. You can donate from anywhere in the world.
Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
If you can donate it would be very much appreciated - thanks for reading my story.
