We provide specialist palliative care to those facing a life limiting illness

Story

Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses, to enable them to have the best possible quality of life.

After many years of hearing from friends, neighbours and family about the amazing support Garden House has given them in their time of need, Kerry's husband and family sadly found themselves in the care of the hospice when their much loved husband, Dad and brother, Dick Haynes, spent the last days of his life there after a brave battle with leukaemia.

The love, care and kindness showed by the team at Garden House made a very difficult time for the family a much easier journey and offered peace of mind and reassurance that Dick was in the best hands.

Seven months on from this, a group of mums from Hitchin, are braving the blisters and aches and pains, and taking on the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge on 30th April.  Completing 54km in one day around the coastline, this group of nine women have each chosen their own charities to raise funds for.  Claire and Kerry have chosen to raise money for Garden House Hospice due to the care they give to many families in the North Herts area.

Please help us raise as much money as possible for this amazing place and their work.
