Funds to provide a Friday night take away to families staying on the oncology ward and Long stay parents at RMCH. Access to food in Covid has been hugely difficult for parents of poorly children - A decent free meal can make a big difference to all

Story

What is Emmies Kitchen? Emmies kitchen was set up after our daughter/ granddaughter was diagnosed with leukaemia and had to spend lots of time in RMCH. As a parent it became obvious quite quickly that the availability of home made tasty food is extremely limited whilst staying at hospital. Emmies kitchen is provides parents of children staying in the hospital with a free, cooked tasty take away meals and a snack bag , During Covid we have offered once a week to long term parents at the hospital It is apparent that looking after the well being of parents is imperative in their childs recovery
