🩵62 MILES FOR BLISS🩵
Throughout May, I will be running 62 miles to raise money for BLISS.
BLISS is a charity that provides support for parents of babies in the Neonatal Unit as well as research and training for Neonatal staff.
This is something that is close to our hearts as our Little Tommy spent his first week (including his first Christmas) in the neonatal unit due to an infection. The support we received from the staff was unmatched, and they truly made a very difficult time much more manageable.
Through research and training, staff were able to support our tiny baby and provide him with treatment to help him get better.
Thankfully, we are one of the lucky parents, as Tommy was a wee fighter who had a short trip in the NICU compared to a lot of other babies. The time spent in the Neonatal Unit opened our eyes up to all of the other tiny fighters and the strong parents/carers that sat beside them. The incredible staff and resources are so important to help these premature or sick babies keep on fighting and to provide their parents with the vital information they need, to make sense of something, when it is so hard to absorb any information or think logically.
We will never be able to thank the staff enough for their help but this is my way of giving back a little and to help support the babies and parents that are in the situation we were in and so much worse.
If you'd like to donate any money towards my 62 miles for BLISS, this is my just giving page.
Thank you so much in advance! 🤍
I'm taking on 62 Miles in May for Bliss, the UK's leading charity helping babies born premature or full-term, but sick. 1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist neonatal care, which means thousands of babies and their families seek information and support from Bliss every year. By sponsoring me, your donation will help Bliss continue their work to ensure that every baby born premature or full-term who needs neonatal care will have the best chance of survival and quality of life.
