Story
Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 2015 we found out we were expecting a baby. As all couples do, we immediately started planning and imagining our lives with another child and were excited for the future.
But on the 11th December 2015 all our plans were taken away from us. The pregnancy was queried as ectopic and I was admitted to hospital. I sent my husband away to collect our daughter from school as I sat patiently awaiting blood results. That afternoon I was rushed to surgery after collapsing on the ward and when I woke we were hit with the devastating news that our baby had not made it into the uterus properly, I had suffered a cornual ectopic that had ruptured and I had been bleeding internally.
In the space of a few hours we had not only lost our baby but we lost our future plans. I would never hear my baby cry or see their first smile. My husband would never be able to teach them to ride a bike or watch their first school play.
There is not enough awareness when it comes to Ectopic Pregnancies, the symptoms are not highlighted. The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust is raising much needed awareness but to do this they need funds.
