Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.   John and I are on the Run for Westside Team for the L.A. Big 5K for our second year.  We want to give dogs like our Leyna, who we adopted from Westside German Shepherd Rescue, a chance at a forever home.  Leyna was dumped at a high kill shelter and it was apparent she had just recently given birth to a litter of pups.  I guess her old owners thought they had no use for her anymore since she was getting older.  She was malnourished and only weighed 50 pounds.    We adopted her and she had no interaction with any humans, it seemed.   She did not know what a ball was, how to play fetch, did not like to be pet or touched, very timid and would cower when you approached her.  We could only imagine what she had gone through.   Now, it's 4 years that we've had her and she is a different dog!   She loves to play and goof around, she's the most affectionate girl and loves people and all other dogs.  She's enriched our lives as we have, hers.   Please help us to raise funds for our Rescue so we can continue to help dogs like Leyna find loving, happy homes so they can really live a happy life like all dogs deserve.
