Story
Thanks for stopping by, whoever thought I'd be running the marathon!
My older brother Oz suffered from acute schizophrenia for his late teenage and all of his adult life. Oz struggled on a daily basis to do many of the simple things in life that many of us take for granted as he battled his demons. Six years ago the daily struggle for Oz became overwhelming and he took his own life.
Oz would have been 40 in April and firstly, I wanted to do something positive to celebrate his birthday and secondly, something which would make him smile. So I'm running the Marathon.
Mind do amazing work for young people like Oz who struggle on a daily basis to find the wherewithal and strength to get on with the simple things in life that many of us take for granted. Please dig deep, your donation will help other young people like Oz to fight, face another day and find life beyond the darkness.
Oz -- I know you'll be laughing as I trot round those 26 miles. This one's for you bro x
