Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In August last year I retired as CEO of Aberdeen Foyer, a
role I was proud to hold from April 1996. It was immensely rewarding and fulfilling, as well as presenting quite a few challenges. To mark my retirement I set myself a challenge to walk across Scotland from my home in Ballogie, to visit my sister in Lochgilphead. I had originally planned my walk in Sept/Oct last year, but I injured myself on a hill walk so it was postponed untill 2019. I have now set aside time to undertake my challenge from the 21st May. I have planned a route that will take me through some of the remotest parts of Scotland, so will involve me camping en route. I plan to complete the 180 mile walk over 11days, walking between 15 – 20 miles per day.
So where might you come in?
I’d like to make a parting contribution to Aberdeen Foyer so
am seeking donations to support the work of this great organisation
(www.aberdeenfoyer.com). So please help me help the Foyer by pledging your support through my Just Giving page.
For those who might want to join in part of my walk I have a day by day plan and will attempt to keep it updated, should I be delayed or indeed cover more ground than planned in any day. Please email me on kenmilroy01@gmail.com for more information.
