Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For my personal challenge in 2021, I have chosen to cycle around the stunning Welsh coastline. I will be aiming to ride 8 legs over c. 870km ( 540miles) . As many of you will know, the coastline of our beloved country is not exactly level, so there is some decent elevation gain within the route.
I will be heading out on Sat 31st July by taking my bike, a ruck sack and me to the railway station at Salop, taking a short train journey to Chester to commence my ride.
I will end up at Chepstow on the border on Sat 7th August, hopefully with the bike and rucksack still intact!
I will not be roughing it, or anything. I must confess to having booked hotels and B&B's each night so that I can get a decent time to relax and probably ( well definitely ) have a beer or two.
For context, last year I completed my first ever 100 mile in a day, so this for me is another level up and some. In 2020 I cycled 1200 miles in the whole year, so to put 540 into a week is certainly a challenge for me, mentally as much as physically.
Many of you will know that I have supported Hope House and Ty Gobaith for a good few years now, whether it be via my cricket club, or more recently personally, so you how much your donation means to me.
