Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I first heard about the Martin House Strictly Get Dancing competition last year, and kicked myself for not taking part.  This year, I took part, and kicked my dance partner instead!  I had never danced before so this was a steep learning curve for me, and a real trial for my dance partner... we had to learn the Waltz and the Argentine Tango and perform them in a competition against 13 other couples, in only SIX WEEKS!!!

Although we just had a fundraising total of £500 per couple, all of us smashed our targets and the event raised about £35,000 for Martin House - and only cost us £500 because so many of the people associated with it provided their services free.

I started blogging about it to help with the fundraising, and my blog can be found on www.lurchingaboutadance.com

The blog really took off, with 125,000 hits so far, so I've kept on blogging... If you want to find out what happened - check out the blog!
