Story

In the year 2015, the long awaiting 'awakening' occurred. Many lived their lives believing they were humans began to develop physical changes. Those considered lucky developed extraordinary strength overnight, their canines hypertrophied, and their skin turned green. Others suffered with pointy ears and uncontrollable urges to sing and dance. Some like myself became the what is akin to 'centaurs', half man, half horse. I finally realised the meaning behind my family name.

Running at the Manchester 10k tomorrow will increase the public profile of newly awakened creatures in the Fifth age. The royal Manchester children's charity may also receive increased funding for psychological support for children coping with these new arrivals.
