Story
Very regrettably, I've committed to running my first marathon later this year in Stirling, and seeing how it's now too late to opt out, I thought I might as well raise as much cash as possible for a charity very close to my heart.
We lost my brother Stuart in 1990 after he suffered complications at birth. Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, offered much needed support to my family at this difficult time. They operate across the UK supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
All charities deserve support, but the less recognised require it more than ever. And even if it's just to make me run for 5 hours (hopefully less) I would extremely appreciate your donation :-)
Thank you!
