Story
Gary, Ken, and Adrian will be doing a skydive from 15,000 feet at the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham, Lancashire on 24th April 2022 to help raise funds for Kidneys for Life and to raise awareness of kidney disease.
In January 2021 Gary donated a kidney and his wife Julie received a kidney as part of the UK Living Kidney Sharing Scheme (UKLKSS).
So, how did all this come about?
I first met Gary in a lift over 25 years ago, on the way to a job assessment at Manchester Airport, and he came across to me as a bit of a know all. Anyway, we both got the job and I quickly found out what a top bloke he is.
I was similarly unsure about Ade at first as well. Good looking, charming, and witty, were just some of the qualities I thought he was lacking. Once again I was wrong, and with a common interest in travel, cricket, and beer, I would now trust this man with my life (if not my wife).
Looking forward to the skydive which is a huge tick on my bucket list, and raising a few coppers for the Kidneys for Life charity. With the amount of beer we have put away over the years this is probably more of an investment than a donation.
