Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am extremely excited to team up with Hat and Home to support Parkinson's UK. Raising money for Parkinson's is something I'm keen to do as my dad got diagnosed 10 years ago with the disease. The company I am teaming up with, Hat and Home also have a member suffering from Parkinson's, so anything we can do to help find a cure will be amazing!

What is Parkinson's? Parkinson’s is a degenerative neurological disease which has no cause and no cure.  It usually affects people in later life but there are also 5000 people under the age of 50 living with Parkinson’s in the UK.

The symptoms of Parkinson's are particularly debilitating and some of the key ones include tremors, rigidity, slowness of movement, speech and memory issues, sleeping problems and pain. Some of the most basic things we take for granted, like drinking out of a glass, can be so difficult for a Parkinson's sufferer.

Any donation of any size is gratefully received. Together we can help find a cure.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
