Story
Unfortunately, homelessness and housing problems are an often-overlooked matter. Those who are sleeping rough or suffering from housing problems may live in dangerous conditions and feel isolated from our society. We take our homes for granted, unaware that all it takes to lose such a luxury is financial problems, mental health problems, loss of a job, serious addiction, leaving the care system, broken relationships (domestic abuse and violence) or difficulties due to renting a home privately.
Kelly Group is proud to announce that our Charity Football Tournament being held on the Friday 13th May in London, will raise funds for the national housing and homeless charity Shelter, assisting them with their mission in helping reduce homelessness on the street and provide aid for those who are suffering due to housing problems.
With the support of fundraising events in 2020 Shelter helped:
- 22,800 households who saw a positive change in their housing situation
- 12,000 households are now coping or managing better on a day-to-day basis
- 10,400 homeless households found somewhere to live
With over 100 Kelly Group employees participating in the tournament from across the nation, we are looking forward to supporting Shelter while raising awareness of homelessness and housing problems.
