Story
Hey Everyone
Hope your all ok. and a big thank you for visiting Jackie and my fundraising page. So last year we attempted the full moonwalk 26.2 miles around London at night in our bras, as most of you know I collapsed at 13 miles and I was unable to continue, so this year we said we would give it one last go (famous last words!!). So I have been in training since October and Jackie and I are looking forward to trying again on May 15th 2010.
Also as its the world cup this year and the walk is on the same day as FA Cup final and instead of using the showtime theme and being all sparkley, I am having a bra made from a football!!! hehe with a red and yellow cards to hand out to people on the way around! :-)
As you may or may not know, I have the brca 1 gene fault which means over my lifetime I have an 80% chance of developing breast and / or ovarian cancer. I have also lost my mum and auntie to cancer and many other close friends have been lost of affected in one way or another. Jackie and I know of many people who have had this disease effect there lives and by doing this walk and raising money we try to do our bit to give a little back for all the support and help we have had, and to help raise money to find a cure so one day our children will not have to go through the pain we have all had to suffer.
I know we are all suffering with the credit crunch at the moment, but any donation no matter how little or small will make a difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this it means a lot, please if you can donate, donate a small amount it is for a brilliant cause and one day we can maybe find a cure and ease all this suffering.
Love and Hugs
Kelly and Jackie xx
