Story
I will be taking part in a wing walk in May for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Yes, that means being strapped onto the top of a biplane and then taking off into the skies- with loop-de-loops included!
Although the thought of it fills me with nerves I am really excited to not only be taking part in such a crazy challenge but also to be supporting a great charity in the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd is my local Hospice and I only know too well the support they offer to people throughout Chester, Ellesmere Port and West Cheshire. Whilst they support patients and their families in what is one of the most challenging times as they face a life limiting illness face on, the Hospice is there to support them from early diagnosis through to palliative, end of life care. All the support offered is done so free of charge but obviously these services aren't free to provide. Each year it costs £4million to run the Hospice and only 23% of that is provided by the Government. You're donations will go towards bridging the funding gap of £3million that the Hospice requires each year to stay open.
Don't forget, if you are a UK taxpayer to tick the GiftAid box as this will increase your donation by a further 25% and costs you NOTHING!!
