This is a story of two halves, dedicated to both my Dad and my Husband, who have both received vital help from BHF. 

Every year on my Dad's Birthday and Christmas I have been donating money to BHF in memory of him. A few months previous to his passing he had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, and after a round of new medication, his heart couldn't take any more. I will never get over it. Every day I will wish he was still here. And every day it will sadden me that he will never get to meet his grandchildren and spoil them rotten. He would have been absolutely over the moon at having grandchildren, and so so proud of my brothers and myself. 

In Dec 2013 myself and my Husband Ryan were involved in a car accident. Thankfully we both came out of it relatively ok. But after some following checkups at the hospital it was discovered that Ryan had a congenital heart defect and subsequently had to undergo open heart surgery. This was honestly one of scariest times of my entire life. The BHF were there to support all the way through. Not only in what they did for Ryan but by even providing a room for both myself and Ryan's mum to stay in overnight, within the hospital, the night of his surgery. 

This year not only do I want to donate money but I wanted to do something different to help raise money for all the vital work BHF do. I know without them my Dad wouldn't of had as many years as he did with us and Ryan wouldn't have received the care and support he needed. It breaks my heart that others may have to go through similar things to us, so a 'little' hill climb is the least I can do to help. 

Oh no I've just realised I've actually got to climb a hill. Oh wait... 3 HILLS!!!!! Uhoh 🙈🙈
