Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may already know, my grandparents have both been diagnosed with mixed dementia within the last year. Mixed dementia is a condition in which Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia occur at the same time. It has been horrible to see them deteriorate, and even worse to see how frustrating this is for them. But don't get me wrong they have plenty of good days too!!
Dementia can happen to anyone and there's currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
So I have decided to set myself this challenge and hope to raise as much money as I can for the Alzheimer's Society so that they can continue their amazing work, helping people like my grandparents and families like mine. And hopefully one day find a cure!
