Story
In 2019 after my own Warrior princess Completed 2.5 years of gruelling chemo , I was put in touch with an amazing mum whose son had recently had the " awful diagnosis" of Leukemia. Even writing this now.... it sends shivers down my spine, I'm sorry Mr and Mrs Sherwood, Grace has Cancer.
Knowing exactly what Rafe and Lisa were going through broke my heart. In hindsight , emotionally maybe I wasn't strong enough to support Lisa but I tried to be there to listen and give hope where I could. However, I was determined to make Little Rafes hopes dreams and wishes come true.
I put Lisa in touch with Ray's of Sunshine, They are a UK charity who grant seriously sick children and their families a " wish" This can be anything from meeting their favourite footballer or Disney Princess to meeting a favourite band or singer.
Rays of Sunshine Gave our family a magical break away in florida, when you have a child who is sick, holidays and fun are put on hold. To top it off, Covid hit and the charity had to put a hold on Rafes wish, I was originally running in 2020 for Rafe , but Covid had other plans ,
Im so pleased to say Rafe has finished treatment, a gruelling 3.5 years of chemo, injections, hospital stays and heartache for his Mum n Dad
Thankyou to those who donated before it means so very much, but please help me find the remaining funds for Rafes wish, I know times are very hard ...
The charity informed me that before Covid hit I had raised £1607.50 in 2019/2020 so my fundraising target is now £892.50, unfortunately it was with Virgin money but that charity page has shut down. Rays of Sunshine however have had the donations from that page,
Now to make the remaining Funds to grant Rafe his special wish...
Of course I'd love to make as much as I can for this most amazing charity and so that Rafe and his family can have the most amazing memories together after what can only be described as living hell on earth
Rafe you did so very well sweetheart. This one's for you little man xxx
I hope you get your Wish x
