Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We have decided to take on the crazy challenge of the London Marathon. 2 years ago we received the devastating news that Serene had secondary breast cancer which had spread to her spine and was now terminally ill. Since that day Serene has had part of her spine removed, is on constant medication and gone from thinking she may never walk again to doing the marathon. Not only is this a personal ambition for Serene to say that she has done a marathon, but we have chosen to raise money for one of the most amazing charities which has offered us nothing but support and kindness since our world was flipped upside down. Saint Francis Hospice have been there for us from the beginning and we know they are there for us in the future. Hearing the words 'terminal illness' is terrifying and it thanks to charities like Saint Francis that are there for the whole family and friends that we are able to move forward with life. Please help us and others going through end of life care to enable people to live with dignity. Any donation is gratefully received and we cannot thank you enough for the difference you make.
Its going to be a hard slog but will be one more thing to tick off the bucket list. Remember, life is short, live it to the full and if there is something you want to do, do it!
