Story
Just over a year ago I was diagnosed with DCIS, a form of breast cancer. I had surgery and was declared cancer-free. During lock-down I wanted a challenge so took up unicycling, something I had done as a teen. Just as I was getting to grips with it, I had my one-year mammogram. Following additional tests I received a diagnosis of cancer in my other breast. Unicycling was put on hold and I had a more invasive surgery and radiotherapy. Breast Cancer Now is a charity to which I have turned for well-designed, helpful information and support on both occasions, and I want to contribute to the important work they do to help other women (and men) like me.
