Reynolds Runs the Marathon 2021 (was 2019 and 2020!)

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
So, having trained for last year’s marathon up to 18 miles, I chose to defer my place after speaking to doctors as I’d have been 12 weeks pregnant on the big day!!
So here I am, with 10 week old twin babies starting my marathon training from scratch! Running and training for a marathon is HARD but doing it with 2 newborn babies while breastfeeding is harder and I’m only on week 2!! But totally worth it for every £1 raised (and for my pride!)
EDIT:-
Here are am with two very boisterous, strong minded and INCREDIBLE toddlers who keep me very busy. I’m not fully recovered from reactive arthritis (thanks COVID) so this won’t be the PB I was originally aiming for BUT I am committed to getting through this training cycle and raising as much awareness and Cole hard cash as I can for this brilliant charity.
I work in the arts and a lot of my work is, and always has been, with children. I have a history of working with children with developmental delay, autism and PMLD and have met some incredible families along the way.
Having become a mum recently I have a much better understanding of how tough it can be (as well as being wonderful!). It takes so much strength and love to be a parent but I cannot comprehend how much harder it is to have a child living with additional needs in your family unit. Sense provide integral support to these families...the families that are most in need.
So, I am running for Sense, a national charity that supports people with complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, to be understood, connected and valued. They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected. Together, we can unlock barriers to communication so no one is isolated, left out or unable to fulfil their potential.
However big, however small, your money will be life changing for a family that needs a little more support than the average. Plus, each £1 I see donated helps me keep moving my legs when I am out in the cold rain running along the pavement while I daydream about pizza!!
See you at the finish line!! Xxx
NB - If you already donated last year, please don’t donate again, your donations are still there and going to Sense!
