We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my first half marathon and I am very excited! My Dad ran the full marathon in 2013 and it has inspired me to take up a similar challenge myself.

Alzheimer's Society is a charity very close to my heart. My Great Nan, Audrey Coward, suffered from this form of dementia and I have definitely experienced the impact that it can have on all family members.

My target of £500 could help pay for two sessions of the Carer's Programme for 12 carers. The programme offers practical tips and strategies to help carers cope with the impact of dementia and gives them information so that they can access local services and start preparing for the future.

Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will be going to an exceptional cause!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
