Story
5 years ago on the 10th March I very nearly lost my life, as you all know I had HELLP syndrome and we lost our baby girl Ellissia. This isn't a morbid occasion, we just wanted to mark it somehow. David and I are taking part in 5 events for 5 years since I survived and in Ellissia's memory. We are hoping to raise as much as we can for APEC, who provide information & leaflets to hospitals and doctors so pregnant women know what to look for and unnecessary deaths amongst women and babies can be avoided. They also provide a helpline for people who may be concerned about symptoms and offer support to those who have suffered from the condition. They provide courses and training days for midwives educating them further on pre-eclampsia and HELLP.
We will be taking part in the following activities between March through toJuly.......
I will be walking a marathon on Friday 10th March. Running a 10k and doing the great North swim again, although this year I'll be doubling the distance, swimming 2 miles. David will be joining me in Lake Windermere for this and is hoping to walk Hadrians wall in just 2 days! In July he is doing an Ultra marathon!!!!! (Bonkers stuff but then that's my husband!)
Every penny counts so please 'HELLP' us achieve our goal. Thank you so much. The Lewis family. Xxx
