Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am passionate about my family, and within that family is a special little boy, my 4 year old Nephew Mason.
Just before his 1st birthday, Mason was diagnosed with Retinolblastoma.
Mason has already lost one eye and has an in-active tumour behind the other. He has had a long road to where he is now but is currently in remission.....Huge High Five!!!!!
During this past 3 years, My sister Emma (his mum) recieved support in many ways from charities. Emma struggled with appointments for chemotherapy, radiation, operations and weekly check ups that were up and down the country at 2 different hospitals. Mason could not travel after operations She did not drive and Mason could not take public transport due to risks of infections.
Emma is continuously grateful for the support she recieved from charities like Macmillan and she continously tries to "pay it forward" in whichever way that she can.
A couple of us are supporting Emma in raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support by doing an 11 mile walk through Hamsterley Forest on Mother's Day.
Charities give us the power and hope that we can not often give or control ourselves in such sad, desperate times.
Mason is a happy, funny, brave, admirable little boy......He is a true inspiration and we are all grateful for each day that every single person that has helped him has given us all. He is, in our eyes, our very own success story, but without the help and support from the people who donate to charities, success stories are less likely to happen. Please, if possible, sponsor as little or much as you can.
Thank you for reading Mason's story and your support XxXxX
