Story

Team Forrest Training,  including Kelly and Kevin Forrest, Mike Clark and Michelle Sturrock, are Riding the North to raise funds for North East Sensory Services.

In June 2022, Kevin's Dad, Walter passed away at the fantastic age of 89.  He had lived a long life surrounded by his family but had lost his sight due to macular degeneration affecting his daily life.

Laterly, Walter's sight loss meant that he was officially registered blind and was unable to do a lot of tasks that many of us take for granted.

North East Sensory Services (NESS) were a lifeline to Walter, giving him valuable support, advice, and a range of devices and equipment that would enhance his quality of life.

As a family, we want to support NESS in as many ways as possible and with half of the team avid cyclists, we thought the Ride the North challenge would be a fantastic way to do this.

Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page and thank you hugely for your donations to a fantastic cause.
