Story
As many of you know, before Adelaide passed last October, I promised her that I wouldn't stop fighting for a cure for epilepsy. Barring the Cervantes family becoming billionaires someday soon, I'm going to need your help to keep this promise. Funding for epilepsy research is needed now more than ever - seizures don't take a break for global pandemics. Researchers are making progress. Each year we understand the genetics, brain structure and therapeutics better than we did before but there is still so much we don't know.
Adelaide was a fierce warrior but she shouldn't have had to have been. No person, regardless of their age, should endure what she did but too many do and I won't stop until an epilepsy diagnosis is followed with a treatment plan to a full recovery. A CURE.
Please donate to my page and then tune in to "Unite to CURE Epilepsy", CURE's live-streamed event on Thursday, September 24th. The evening will feature world-class entertainment from country music star Eric Church, live host Mike Barnicle of MSNBC's Morning Joe, CNN's Sanjay Gupta and perhaps a few other familiar faces *wink wink*.
I am still fighting for Adelaide. I fight for her memory, for all those still impacted by epilepsy and for the 1 in 26 who will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Thank you for fighting with me, nothing means more.
