PreventALL, run by Jo & Chris Edwards, is based in Telford and was set up in January 2022, following their own son's diagnosis with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in April 2021. The primary aim of the charity is to support research being carried out at London's ICR to find a preventative treatment for childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Understanding directly the huge impact that a cancer diagnosis can have on a child and their family, Jo & Chris decided to expand the mission of the charity to also help local families across the Midlands with children going through treatment. The diagnosis and long treatment pathway can place huge significant pressures on families, emotionally and financially, so our aim is to relieve those pressures a little, in the form of small grants or wishes granted.
