Story
Thank you for taking the time out to visit my Just Giving page. I think all of us, in some way or another, know somebody or know of somebody who has been affected by cancer. The sad statistics are 1/3 of us will get it. There are, however, charities out there doing amazing work in terms of research and development. This puts us in great stead for a more positive future, a higher survival rate perhaps, or better still, a cure. But what about the here and now?
If you or somebody close to you has been affected by the C word, you will know that what matters most is the present. Each and every second of every single day. Which is where Macmillan Nurses come in. A source of support, not just for cancer patients, but for their families, carers and friends, Macmillan are there. Whether it’s for a lift to the hospital, financial help or an emotional chat. The things that you need ‘right now’.
Without continued support and funding, Macmillan wouldn’t be able to provide the vital support that so many people in the UK heavily rely on. This is why I am asking you to please support me in running the 5k Brighton Fun Run.
I’m not asking you to dig deep, just as far as you want to. Every donation helps ensure this amazing charity can continue doing what they do best… supporting those in need, at times they need it most.
Thank you X
