Story
On a lovely sunny day back in June, Miss Rhian Griffiths reverse-psychologied me into agreeing to run the Cardiff half marathon.
As most of you will know, I'm not exactly a fitness fanatic... Infact, 'going for a run' usually means going for a spin in the car to Verdi's for an ice cream and the furthest I usually rely on my legs to carry me is to my car!!
However, you will also know me for my stubborn streak and once I commit to something - there is no backing down!
Aside from my 'determination' motivating me to get out of bed on a Sunday morning to train for this monster task, I have agreed to raise money for The James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer. Please take a look at the link below to see some of the work they do. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer - so I think the work that this charity do resonates with us all.

So please dig deep and donate whatever you can now. Thank you!!
Don't forget, if you are a UK taxpayer you should add Gift Aid. In essence, any gift you make under the scheme can provide the Fund with an extra payment direct from the Inland Revenue of 28.2%. So making a gift from you of, for example £10, worth £12.82 to this Fund. The payment does not cost you anything, but is made to the charity from UK taxes that you have already paid.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
