Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm a busy working mum of 3 amazing kids age 8, 5 and 4. My girls recently had a 'facebook yard sale' of toys etc they no longer required and raised a fantastic £50 for Kids Love Clothes. They girls initially asked for irons to help me as I ocassionally iron for the charity. Not a good idea to iron I explained as they are 8 and 5 but told them there are other ways to help and they could try to raise money to help towards the cost of the gift bags etc so that's what they did.
It hasnt gone unnoticed by them I haven't been ironing recently, as i have been helping Santa organise Christmas in the evenings, but of course they don't know that. As I'm pretty much there and as organised as I can be I have decided to use my time to do an Advent Ironing Challenge ie. iron 24 bags in 24 days. In the past i've ironed 2 bags a week, each bag takes approx 1.5 hrs to iron and gift bag. The quanity and quality of clothes in each bag is fantastic, enough to fill a blue Ikea bag, these clothes are donated by the local community.
I have set up a JustGiving page to raise awareness of this amazing charity and if anyone would like to donate and help me reach my target it would be very much appreciated. I will keep you all updated with how it's all going.
Many thanks.
