Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·
Two years ago I challenged myself to the biggest test of my little life - swapping my Kurt Geigers for trainers and running 26.2 crazy miles to complete my first Virgin London Marathon. This year, I'm back and as ready as ever to ditch the heels and pound the streets of London - all in the name of a FABULOUS charity; PHAB & PHAB Kids.
A little bit about the charity for you...
The objects and aims of the PHAB organisation have remained the same for 50 years, but they are probably more relevant today than at any time in its existence. The charity holds an inspiring philosophy of bringing together people with and without physical disabilities on equal terms, to achieve complete integration within the wider community and to make more of life together.
What's not to love about that?
I have pledged to raise a minimum fund of £1,500 for the charity (who counts none other than everyone's favourite Aussie, Rolf Harris, as one of its Vice Presidents) and would be massively thankful for any donation you could send my way...it really is for a fantastic cause and hey, i'm already putting myself through strategic dedicated pain to train for the big day so anything you can donate to support 'Team Crisp' would be hugely appreciated!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. See you at the finish line (where I'll be ready to get the heels back on and celebrate in style).
HUGE thanks
