Can 60 year olds still run half marathons ?

STOP PRESS - I have done it !!!

I did not achieve my goal of 1hr 50min but I did do it in 1hr 52min which is a personal best. The start was delayed for an hour because the Red Cross were not ready but that was good because the rain and ice cold wind had stopped before we started running.

14,000 had entered the Bath Half ,10,009 completed the race and I came 3,742.

Thanks to you all for your kind donations. Its time to put my feet up.

In this auspicious year I am again going to run 13 miles round the streets of Bath

Also in recognition of my greater maturity I will attempt to run it in my best ever time of 1 hr 50 mins.

Over the years I have known many people who have had to fight cancer.
