Story
In 2017, Lauren’s close friend Lotty passed away in August. She was a positive influence on Lauren’s life, encouraging her to believe she could get into her “dream” drama school to study technical theatre, which she did. Lotty was always positive, Lauren feels that she owes her an awful lot as Lotty helped her change her life for the better. When she passed away Lotty requested donations to St John’s Hospice in lieu of flowers, and Lauren signed up to the Great South Run to run in her memory and in the same month Lauren also found out she had been successful in gaining a marathon place. Lauren persuaded Keith to get a charity place with St John’s Hospice too so we can run together on the day and aim to raise a minimum £1500. In training for the 2018 Marathon, Lauren sustained an injury to her tendon and so both of us have decided to defer entry and we will be running the London Marathon in 2019!
If you are able to cheer us along the way on the day, please do get in touch and let us know where we should look for you! Thank you to everyone who already has, we look forward to seeing you on race day.
