For those who know me, I’m one of those folks who lace up every
now and then for a run or two. This year, I've joined my son’s school’s army of parents to run from St Pancras back to St Albans in aid of raising much needed funds for new sports equipment.

The run will be just over a full marathon distance, and unsupported (I will carry my own water, gels etc). This will be new territory for me, as fitting in long distance training with entertaining two young boys (and appeasing the missus) will be virtually non-existent. The run will take place on the date of the FA Cup Final (and Royal Wedding), so I’ve got an added incentive to make it back to St Albans to watch both. Hopefully in a pub replenishing the spent calories.
