The challange, with my co-cyclist Russell Simpson, is to cycle from Palace to Palace, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire to The Palace of Versailles just to the south west of Paris.  The distance is approximately 330 miles and we intend to achieve this over 4 days from 1st August to 4th August.

Day 1

Start Blenheim Palace Oxfordshire to Catford in South London. Approx 75 miles

Day 2

Catford to Folkestone approx 65 miles plus Eurotunnel to Calais.

Day 3

Calais to Amiens approx 97 miles

Day 4

Amiens to Versailles approx 95 miles.

I have been training hard for several months doing numerous 20 to 30 mile outings during the week with long Sunday morning rides of between 50 and 104 miles.  The one thing I haven't done is big mileage day after day but hey if Chris Froom can do it, how difficult can it be!!!! 

I have a good supply of saddle cream and factor 50 sun cream just in case.  All I need now is your money so please give to this valuable charity and make all the pain, suffering and training worth while.
