The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I approach my 55th birthday I felt it was time to give something back to those charities who have become a part of my life. My sister and brother-in-law have spent their lives training Guide Dogs and as such I am fully aware of the fantastic freedom a dog can give to someone whose sight is impaired.

As I am walking with my dog, I thought it appropriate that Phoebe has her own charity and she felt that GDBA was a good one (she initially wanted to raise money for Pedigree Dog Treats, but I had to explain to her what the word 'charity' meant). Thank you in anticipation for your support.
