When I was 50 I had a stroke due to an undiagnosed PFO ( patent foramen ovale). I had expert cardiac and neurological care at the time for which I am extremely grateful.I am a keen cyclist and have harboured a long standing wish to attempt a long distance cycle trip. When I told friends I was planning to attempt LEJOG ( Land’s End to John O’Groats), the idea of doing it for charity was raised…..hence, here we are!  Heart of Scotland was an obvious choice given my background.I have no idea if I’ll be able to complete it, having not previously attempted so many consecutive days cycling. I can only try! I’ll periodically update this page with some photos of the trip by linking with my Strava account.
